The mvTerm client is a virtual terminal that runs on a Windows system. mvTerm client provides a simple terminal-style interface to the mvBase Server system and database. Sessions with the mvBase Server system may be established either locally on the Server system or over a network. The mvTerm client is certified on Windows.
Operational Features
The mvTerm client includes toolbars, menus and icons that conform to standard Microsoft Windows conventions.
You may use the mvTerm client to create one or more client sessions and connect each session to an mvBase Server.
The mvTerm client supports two mvBase Term types:
I: Mentor PRO console compatible emulation
V: ADDS Viewpoint terminal emulation
You may save the session properties (such as function key definitions and fonts) along with the connection parameters to a file for later use.
An mvTerm session may function as an auxiliary printer connection.
You may copy text from (or paste it to) an mvTerm session to (or from) another application.
The mvTerm client can be started from the Windows task bar, from a shortcut icon placed on the Windows desktop, or from a previously saved mvTerm session file.
