Copying and Pasting Within an mvTerm Client Session

The mvTerm client enables the user to copy and paste text from the mvTerm window to the Windows clipboard. Conversely, the user may copy and paste text from another program to the clipboard, and from there to the mvTerm window. This function allows easy transfer of data between mvBase and other programs without the need for manual data input.

In addition to selecting Edit from the mvTerm menu bar to facilitate the copy and paste operation, two enhancements have been added as alternative methods:

  1. Windows’ standard Copy and Paste buttons have been added to mvTerm’s toolbar.

  2. Three keyboard accelerator keys (<CTRL+A>, <CTRL+C>, and <CTRL+V>) perform the Select All text, Copy and Paste functions of the Windows program. These accelerator keys can be enabled or disabled by the Edit Keys Accelerators entry in the Edit menu.
