Sessions
Host Access Manager enables you to define two categories of sessions: a single session and a pool of sessions. The single session has only one instance and can be used by only one user at a time. The pool of sessions can have a size larger than 1 and can be simultaneously used by any number of users equal to or less than its size. For example, a pool of 5 allows 5 users to connect at the same time to the same host using the same session definition.
Sessions are defined by the type of host they are intended to connect to. Therefore, you should first make sure that you have correctly defined your host before you start adding sessions. You will only be able to add sessions for the defined hosts according to the license keys that you enter. With Host Access Manager, you can define the following types of sessions:
•  Single Session:
♦  Display
♦  Print
♦  File Transfer
•  Session Pool:
♦  Display
♦  File Transfer
To add a session, expand the Configured Sessions node in the cluster tree in the left pane to reveal the Single Sessions and Pool Sessions sub-nodes and select the menu item that you need.
The details of the session definition that appears depends on the host's connection type (TN or SNA, 5250, 3270 or VT100).
