SQL users may need to reference environmental information about the system.
The SQL statements below perform the described functions:
Return the database user
SELECT value1 FROM dm.var WHERE name = ‘user’;
Return the database account (used as the SQL user)
SELECT value1 FROM dm.var WHERE name = ‘account’;
Return the database process number
SELECT value1 FROM dm.var WHERE name = ‘pib’;
The default setting is case insensitive. This can be changed with these SQL statements:
Set to case sensitive mode:
SELECT value2 FROM dm.var WHERE name = ?`case (n`?;
Set to case insensitive mode:
SELECT value2 FROM dm.var WHERE name = ?`case (f`?;
