Stopping the Server via the Server Tab

NOTE

Stopping the Server via the :SHUTDOWN Proc is preferable to stopping the Server via the Server tab or via the Windows Task bar.

Perform these steps to stop the mvBase Server from the Administration Utility:

  1. Ensure that all clients are disconnected (e.g., issue the LISTLINES command at TCL).

  2. Launch or switch to the Administration Utility.

  3. Select the Server tab if it is not displayed. The tab displays the status of Running for either the Application or Service Run As modes.

  4. Select the mode in which the mvBase Server is running.

  5. Select Stop. You are now ready to shut down the system, or reconfigure the mvBase Server.

  6. Select OK to exit the Administration Utility, or perform other functions in the Administration Utility as you require.
