Tables

Use the New Table option to create a new Dictionary table (and optionally a new Data Level table) in a database on the D3 server.

Complete the instructions below to list the contents of a table.

Copying a table copies all items from one table to another. The table can be copied using a right-click menu option or by dragging-and-dropping a table to a new destination.

Complete these instructions to display the number of records contained within a specified table (whether Master Dictionary, Dictionary or Data Level).

You can delete individual Dictionary or Data Level tables. If deleting a Dictionary table, all Data Level tables residing within that Dictionary table are recursively deleted.

You can add new Data Levels to any existing Dictionary table.

Clearing a table deletes all records in the table. Both Dictionary tables and Data Level tables can be separately cleared. If clearing a Dictionary table, the Data Level tables residing within that Dictionary table are not cleared. Additionally, Dictionary table D-pointers that point to tables are not deleted.

You can rename any table in your database.
