Widgets for Forms and Reports
Widgets in Form components determine the appearance and behavior of fields, labels, occurrences, and entities displayed in components running on Windows.
Uniface provides a set of physical widgets which use Windows controls, and a larger set of logical widgets, which map to the physical widgets and set some of their properties. The actual appearance of the widget depends on the version of Windows and widget properties.
Form components support all GUI widgets. Report components support only non-editable EditBox and Picture widgets.
In character mode, Unifields are used instead of field widgets. These are field representations that can handle all data types and work identically in both GUI (Windows) and character mode. For more information, see Unifields.
