Cluster configuration options
BlueZone Access Server or HostFront Server Version 5.2 can be configured in one of the scenarios mentioned below. The number of machines running the Cluster Services and emulation services will essentially determine your choices.
•  Single server setup: One Cluster Service and one emulation service (also referred to as Server) (usually both on one single machine).
•  Cluster with one point-of-entry setup: One Cluster Service and multiple emulation services (also referred to as Servers) on multiple machines.
•  Cluster with multiple points of entry setup: Multiple Cluster Services and multiple emulation services (also referred to as Servers) on multiple machines.
Notes for All Scenarios:
1. One emulation service (or one server) is the above context means one machine that is running on set of emulation services (3270, 5250 and/or VT) resulting from one installation of either BlueZone Access Server or HostFront Server.
2. The SQL database of the profile can be installed on one of the server machines or on a separate machine. It can also be installed on the enterprise Microsoft SQL single server or an SQL cluster.
3. The Host Access Manager can run on any machine that can access both the SQL database and the server machines in the cluster.
4. There are no restrictions on the number of hosts.
5. All installations are made on the Windows Server machines (2000 or 2003 versions) running a web server.
6.  Session Load Balancing is automatically available once there is more than one emulation service (also referred to as Server) in your configuration.
7.  You can change the configuration from one scenario to another at any time.
8. The configuration is always transparent to your end user.
9. Both BlueZone Access Server and HostFront Server can co-exist on the same machine and they operate and be managed completely separately.
10. Each Server machine can run HostFront for 5250, HostFront for 3270, HostFront for VT, BlueZone for 5250, BlueZone for 3270 and/or BlueZone for VT concurrently.
11. The configuration of the BlueZone Access Server or HostFront Server and the Host Integration Server (HIS) software must be exactly the same for all the servers in a given cluster.
