BlueZone Web-to-Host

Installation Overview

What’s Provided

The BlueZone CD-ROM or downloaded BlueZone image, that you have been provided, contains the entire BlueZone Family of Emulation Products including the files necessary to install BlueZone Web-to-Host and the Web-to-Host Wizard.  All the BlueZone Web-to-Host files are specifically located in the BlueZone Web-to-Host folder located on the BlueZone CD or image.

BlueZone Web-to-Host can be installed on virtually any web server.  Installation is a fairly simple process of coping the BlueZone Web-to-Host files to your desired web server.

The Web-to-Host Wizard requires a workstation with a Microsoft operating system.

NOTE If you already have a pre 3.3 version of BlueZone Web-to-Host installed, please consult the Upgrade Guide before proceeding.

Microsoft Web Servers

If you are installing BlueZone Web-to-Host on a Microsoft Web Server, installation is a one step process.  The BlueZone Web-to-Host setup program will automatically install the BlueZone Web-to-Host files on your web server, and install the Web-to-Host Wizard application.

The Web-to-Host Wizard can be installed on any of the following Microsoft platforms:

For evaluation purposes, you can also install the Web-to-Host Wizard on either of the following "personal" platforms:

NOTE  We don't recommend using a Personal Web Server for a "production" installation of BlueZone Web-to-Host.

Non-Microsoft Web Servers

If you are installing BlueZone Web-to-Host on a non-Microsoft Web Server, installation is a two step process.  The first step is to copy the BlueZone Web-to-Host files to the appropriate place on your web server.  The second step is to install the Web-to-Host Wizard on a Windows PC which will be used to create web pages that you will copy to your non-Microsoft web server.

Microsoft Server Platform Installation

Installing BlueZone Web-to-Host and the Web-to-Host Wizard is very simple.  All you have to do is run the BlueZone Web-to-Host set-up program, and the BlueZone Web-to-Host files and the Web-to-Host Wizard, will be automatically installed on your web server.  Once the installation is complete, you will be ready to launch and run the Web-to-Host Wizard which will guide you through the process of creating and configuring BlueZone host sessions which you will publish to your web server.

Non-Microsoft Server Platform Installation

Since BlueZone Web-to-Host will run on virtually any web server, it is possible to install on a non-Microsoft server platform such as UNIX, Linux, IBM HTTP Web Server, iSeries HTTP Web Server, WebSphere and many more.

If you haven't already, please review the Minimum Requirements to make sure that BlueZone Web-to-Host can be installed on your web server, then continue with the installation.
