Start-up and Shutdown

Most of the mvBase system start-up and shutdown processes are carried out automatically by the operating system, and by the COLD-START and :SHUTDOWN Procs shipped with the system.

COLD-START

A Proc that carries out housekeeping and system verification tasks that are required any time the system is started up.

:SHUTDOWN

A Proc that logs off all users and kills all print jobs before the system is shut down. This command disconnects the Terminal Emulator.

USER-COLD-START

Customizes the coldstart procedure.
