You may start the mvBase Workstation as an application, or as a service.
NOTE |
WARNING- Trace Mode should only be used under the supervision of a Rocket Software support engineer. |
Perform these steps to start the Workstation as either an application or a service:
Launch or switch to the Administration Utility.
Ensure that the mvBase Server is running either as an application or a service. Make note of the execution mode.
Select the Workstation tab.
Ensure that at least one COM port, Windows printer or mvTelnet Server is configured. You may review the status of configured clients by selecting Configure, then viewing the Ports, Printers and Telnet Servers tabs.
If you need to configure at least one such client, do so before attempting to start the Workstation. (See other sections of this document for client configuration procedures.)
