Each terminal emulator has a specific character sequence, which turns the mouse information feature on and off.
To select the Allow Mouse Enabling option, select the Allow Mouse Enabling check box from the Mouse tab of the mvTerm Terminal Properties dialog box. This check box control provides the ability to turn the enabling of the WHERE feature, itself, on or off from the Mouse property page.
This allows the mvTerm user to select whether the mvTerm session should recognize these specific mouse on and mouse off character sequences when a terminal emulator product is selected for WHERE.
If the check box is unchecked, the mouse on and mouse off character sequences are not recognized or processed. Thus, the Mouse Information feature cannot be turned on, and no character sequences containing WHERE is sent to the application program running on the mvBase Server.
If this check box is checked, the mouse on and mouse off character sequences are recognized. Thus, the mouse information feature can be turned on, and when that happens character sequences containing, WHERE is sent to the application program running on the mvBase Server.
NOTE |
The default mvBase Setting is checked. |
The check box is only enabled if a Terminal Emulator Product selection of one of the three supported product settings is selected (i.e., Viaduct, AccuTerm, and HostAccess). It is disabled if the mvBase default or None setting is selected.
