A user has to be enabled to be able to use the server.
For D3 systems, this is the user as defined in the D3 users
file.
For mvBase systems, the server component of MVSP has its own
users file since mvBase does not employ the concept of users.
Procedure
- In the MVSP account, open the MVSP MAINTENANCE menu by entering the MVSP.MENU command from TCL.

- Select option 4 to open the MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE menu.

ENTER OPTION OR Q TO QUIT
- Do any of the following:
- To display a list of enabled users, select option 1.
- To enable a new user, select option 2 and respond appropriately
to the ensuing prompts.
Note: (mvBase Only) Since the concept
of users does not pertain to mvBase, mvBase users will be prompted
to create the user and provide a password for the user.
- To disable a user, select option 3 and respond appropriately
to the ensuing prompts.
Note: (mvBase Only) Since the concept
of users does not pertain to mvBase, mvBase users will be asked whether
you want to delete the user being disabled. Type Y if you want to delete the user.
