Complete these instructions to change the MVSP user or
account password on D3.
Note:
-
Passwords are not supported for mvBase 3.0 implementations.

For UNIX Only: Prior to performing these instructions,
UNIX users must be logged on as root and connected to D3 using the d3 command with the -l option.
Procedure
- Use the password program to set the user and account passwords.
- In the MVSP account, open the MVSP PASSWORD utility by
entering the MVSP.PASSWORD command from TCL. For
example:
:MVSP.PASSWORD
The MVSP PASSWORD utility displays. Note that this message
will vary slightly from the illustration below if you are running
in Windows Authentication mode.
:MVSP.PASSWORD
(U)SER PASSWORD OR (A)CCOUNT PASSWORD OR (Q) TO QUIT ? U
- Do one of the following:

Enter A to change the MVSP account password.
The following prompt displays.
Enter the password for the MVSP Account (QUIT to abort) ?
-
Enter U to change the MVSP user password.
The following prompt displays.
Enter the NEW password for the MVSP user (QUIT to abort) ?
- Do one of the following:

If you are running in Windows Authentication mode, type and
confirm the password for the Windows MVSP user or account.

If you are running under a D3 MVSP user, type and confirm
the password for the D3 MVSP user or account.
The password is changed.
