Enabling and disabling MVSP accounts

In order to use MVSP in an account, that account must first be enabled.

Note: The MVDEMO account comes pre-enabled.

Procedure

  1. In the MVSP account, open the MVSP MAINTENANCE menu by entering the MVSP.MENU command from TCL. For example:
    :MVSP.MENU
    

    The MVSP MAINTENANCE menu displays.

    MVSP MAINTENANCE
    ----------------
     
    1. START MVSP SERVER (D3)
    2. STOP MVSP SERVER (D3)
    3. MVSP CONNECTIONS
    4. MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE
    5. MVSP SERVER STATUS (D3)
     
    ENTER OPTION OR Q TO QUIT
    
  2. Select option 4 to open the MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE menu.

    The MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE menu displays.

    1. CONFIGURATION MAINTENANCE
    2. ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE
    3. USER MAINTENANCE
     
    ENTER OPTION OR Q TO QUIT
    
  3. Select option 2 to open the MVSP ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE menu.

    The MVSP ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE menu displays.

    1. LIST ENABLED ACCOUNTS
    2. ENABLE AN ACCOUNT
    3. DISABLE AN ACCOUNT
     
    ENTER OPTION OR Q TO QUIT
    
  4. Do any of the following:
    • To display a list of enabled accounts, select option 1.

    • To enable a new account, select option 2 and respond appropriately to the ensuing prompts.

    • To disable an account, select option 3 and respond appropriately to the ensuing prompts.
