General Table Properties

The Properties dialog box allows you to view and change table properties. Complete these instructions to display and change the General Table properties.

To display and change general table properties:

  1. Right-click the table to inspect from the Domain Explorer and select the Properties option.

    The Properties dialog box displays.

  2. Click the General tab.

    The General tab displays.

    The table below describes the information and functionality provided in the General tab.

    Server

    Displays the network server name where the table is located.

    Case Insensitive

    Checked if the table is case insensitive. This property cannot be modified.

    Path

    Displays the path and full name where the table is located, without the table extension.

    Modulo

    Displays the current modulo for the table. The modulo can be increased by typing a new value and clicking the Resize button. See Resizing Files for more information.

    Compression Trigger

    Displays frame size in kilobytes. This property cannot be modified.

    Hash

    Produces a graphic representation of item-ID distribution within a given file, according to the test modulo provided. The command is useful when performing file reallocation, providing insight into how the item-IDs hash into the file, as well as providing a suggested modulo.     Resize

    Increases the size of the modulo. A new modulo must be specified from the Modulo text box to enable this button. See Resizing Files for more information.
