The dictionary section of a data file contains the file-defining items, attribute-defining items, and other definition items.
File-defining item inventory base is the disk address where the data section of this file begins. Its modulo is the number of contiguous frames reserved for this file. In the above example, the data section of the inventory file starts at address 12210 and uses 337 frames.
Attribute-defining item part number describes the qualities of just one attribute in the data portion of this file. In this example, the part number item defines how the attribute one value is output. The report heading is Part Number, left-aligned, and the system allows 15 spaces for the value to display.
