Starting the MVSP Server

Complete these instructions to start the MVSP Server. These instructions apply to D3 users only.

To start the MVSP Server:

Logon as user DM to the DM account.
Logto the MVSP account. For example, type:

:LOGTO MVSP
Open the MVSP MAINTENANCE menu by entering the MVSP.MENU command from TCL. For example:

:MVSP.MENU

The MVSP MAINTENANCE menu displays.

MVSP MAINTENANCE

----------------

1. START MVSP SERVER (D3)

2. STOP MVSP SERVER (D3)

3. MVSP CONNECTIONS

4. MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE

5. MVSP SERVER STATUS (D3)

ENTER OPTION OR Q TO QUIT
Select option 1 to start the MVSP Server.

A prompt displays asking whether you want to start the server.
Enter Y.

The server is started.

Additional MVSP MAINTENANCE Menu Options

The previous example discussed starting the MVSP server using the MVSP MAINTENANCE menu. The following features are also available from the MVSP MAINTENANCE menu:

2. STOP MVSP SERVER <D3>	Stops the MVSP server.
3. MVSP CONNECTIONS	Displays active connections including information about the client machine and applications.
4. MVSP SERVER MAINTENANCE	Maintenance options for the MVSP server, accounts and users.
5. MVSP SERVER STATUS	Displays the status of the MVSP server (whether it is listening or not).
