Uninstalling D3 Windows

To uninstall D3 Windows, remove the D3 Windows Server or Client from your system using the instructions below. Uninstalling D3 Windows 9.1 removes the entire program. You have the option to keep or destroy your data files, programs and registry entries. However, any data created in nonstandard folders is not removed.

WARNING

Starting with D3 9.1, the InstallShield application used to install and uninstall D3 requires that the entire D3Programs directory be removed during an uninstall. Because of this, any programs or files you have added to the directory will be deleted. As such, it is highly recommended that you backup these files prior to uninstalling.

 

NOTE

Administrative rights are required for uninstalling D3 Windows. To uninstall D3 Windows, log on to the system as ADMINISTRATOR or as a user with administrative privileges.

To remove the D3 Windows Server or Client:

  1. Select Add/Remove Programs from the Control Panel.

  2. If you have any of the D3 Windows service packs installed, select the service pack form the list of programs and click Uninstall to uninstall the service pack.

  3. Select D3 Windows (or D3 Windows Client if uninstalling the client) and click Change.

The InstallShield Wizard displays. Click Next.

  1. Select the Remove option from the Program Maintenance dialog box, then click Next.

  1. Select one of these options:

WARNING

Selecting All Data and Programs destroys any and all data stored in D3!

If you are unsure, it is strongly recommended that you backup all files in the D3Database directory.

  1. Click Remove, then respond to the prompts accordingly.

The D3 Windows uninstallation is complete.
