Navigating Hot Backup menus

Hot-Backup menus are divided into the Menu and Message sections. The Menu section is where menu options display and the Message section is where results, messages, or help display.

Tip: When moving the cursor to a new field, a short help message displays in the message section.

All Hot Backup operations are controlled through menus. If your terminal allows, use arrow keys where indicated. Otherwise, use these keys and key-combinations to move through the menus:

Keystrokes Description
CTRL+N Moves cursor down (down arrow).
CTRL+B Moves cursor up (up arrow).
CTRL+X Cancels. Applicable only when input is requested.

Use these keys to quit or exit the Hot Backup menus:

Key Description
ESC Quits and returns to previous menu or back to TCL. This key also terminates all menus.
Q Quits and returns to previous menu.
X Exits and returns to TCL from any menu.
