This section describes the software and hardware requirements,
and installation instructions for using MQSeries with D3 Windows.
It is assumed that D3 Windows is already installed.
D3 Windows requirements The following minimum requirements are needed to use MQSeries with D3 Windows:
Installing MQSeries Server See the MQSeries documentation for installation instructions. Be sure to install MQSeries as a server.
Creating the D3DB user using Windows 2000 Server When D3 starts as a service, it runs as the system user. However, the system user-ID cannot be assigned to a group, so a new user called D3DB must be created. The D3DB user can be created either locally or in a remote domain, and then assigned to the MQM group. The D3VME Service and the D3ODBC Service must also run as this new user.
Creating the D3DB user using Windows domain controllers When D3 starts as a service, it runs as the system user. However, the system user-ID cannot be assigned to a group, so a new user called D3DB must be created. The D3DB user can be created either locally or in a remote domain, and then assigned to the MQM group. The D3VME Service and the D3ODBC Service must also run as this new user.
Enabling MQSeries for use with FlashBASIC After installing MQSeries, enable the application to work with FlashBASIC. The instructions below creates a test environment for FlashBASIC.
