BlueZone Web-to-Host - Overview

What is BlueZone Web-to-Host

As mentioned in the Introduction, BlueZone Web-to-Host is a state-of-the-art secure host access solution that utilizes the convenience of a web browser to automatically download, install, configure, update and maintain the End User's host emulation software.

This is accomplished by storing the necessary BlueZone Web-to-Host files on a web server that can be accessed from the End User's browser that is running on a Windows workstation.

The "configuration tool" that is used to create web pages that are then accessed by the End User to launch BlueZone sessions, is called the Web-to-Host Wizard.  The Web-to-Host Wizard is a GUI application that is used by the BlueZone Web-to-Host Administrator.  With it, the Administrator can easily create and configure web pages that contain all the necessary data to launch BlueZone client sessions.

Once the Administrator has created, configured, and published a BlueZone Launch Page to the web server, the End User, using their web browser is directed to the URL where the BlueZone Launch Page is located.  When the Launch Page is exposed to the End User's browser, the pre-configured BlueZone Client session or sessions will automatically be downloaded and installed on the End Users workstation, and immediately be available for launching.
