U2 University: Top of the Class!

Dear U2 Community,

What an exciting month November has been! It started with the release of U2 DataVu, a tool for users of Rocket's UniVerse and UniData products that allows graphical queries, visual reports and interactive dashboards to be quickly storyboarded and developed by technical content authors and then easily deployed to non-technical users. U2 DataVu Query is free and can be downloaded from the Rocket U2 web site at www.rocketsoftware.com/u2/downloads. Several companies are already using this product, and we have big plans for increasing its deployment around the world in the coming months.

Next came U2 University 2011, which was held in Denver from the 9th to the 11th. We had a record turnout this year – more than 130 partners and users joined 30+ Rocket team members for a comprehensive series of labs, technical sessions and tutorials focused on helping organizations get the most out of their Rocket U2 investments. We look forward to next year's North American U2 University (in a bigger hotel), and we are gearing up for the UK and Australia events in early 2011.

We have a winner!

On the first evening of U2 University we hosted a networking event and cocktail party at the Warwick Hotel. Everyone who attended was invited to enter a drawing to win a MacBook Air computer – all they had to do was stand up and provide a short overview of how their organization uses the Rocket U2 products. More than 30 people decided to participate, and Donald Bridges of Sunset Programming was selected to win the Air.
