Work Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1ET, United Kingdom
Reports To: Manager of U2 EMEA Technical Support
Experience Required: Entry level to 5 years
Responsibilities include:
- Professionally and pro-actively provide telephone and electronic customer technical support
- Resolve clients’ questions or problems including installation/setup, system administration, product configuration and functionality
- Research questions using available information resources
- Redirect problems to appropriate level 2 resource
- Track and route level 1 problems, requests, and document resolutions
- Write Technical Tips, white papers, example code
- Stay current on new and evolving technologies
- Participate in internal projects and other work as directed
Skills and Experience:
- Pro-active attitude toward learning and acquiring technical knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within team environment
- Strong on team participation and teamwork
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (in Computer Science is preferred)
- Analytical intellect, good problem solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with customers
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated experience with Windows, UNIX, and Linux Administration is preferred
- UniData and/or UniVerse or U2 tools experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge in C#, JAVA, VB.NET, .NET, XML and SOAP is a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written French is a plus
