This section provides instructions for the TCL commands,
SQL-CREATE-VIEW,
SQL-CREATE-TABLE,
SQL-DISPLAY-TABLE,
and SQL-DELETE-TABLE.
These TCL commands are used to work with SQL tables from existing
D3 files.
SQL-CREATE-VIEW creates SQL tables that are read-only, called VIEW tables, while SQL-CREATE-TABLE creates one or more SQL tables from an existing D3 file that are read/write, called BASE tables. Thus, the underlying D3 file can be modified through SQL statements. Existing items can be modified or deleted and new items can be inserted.
SQL-DISPLAY-TABLE is a TCL command that displays the SQL structure for a D3 file. By default, only PARENT tables, created through SQL-CREATE-TABLE are displayed. To display all VIEW tables created for a particular D3 file, use the b or v option.
