Configuring and Using COM Ports

mvBase allows you to configure COM ports so that connecting devices may be run as mvBase clients. Clients which connect in this fashion connect to traditional MultiValue Server lines. Such clients include terminal devices and traditional MultiValue serial printers.

You configure COM ports for use with mvBase via the Ports tab, accessed via the Workstation tab of the Administration Utility. Configurable COM port features include:
