The Application Event Log provides a means to observe informational, warning and messages. This is a helpful method for displaying records of problems and for tracking them down. The Event Viewer allows a user with administrator rights to make the following changes:
Identify which log to change.
Establish log size (number of entries).
Select one of the following three options in the Event Log:
Overwrite events as needed (best selection).
Overwrite events older than (there is a box to enter a number of days).
Do not overwrite events (clear log manually).
The event log should be configured to a maximum log size of 1024 KB with Overwrite events as needed selected.
Changing the Event Log
To adjust the Event Log with any of the desired changes cited above (administrator rights are required), navigate to the Event Log Settings window.
