Installing on a Windows platform

This section includes instructions for installing FlashConnect on Windows, configuring the FlashConnect Service and starting the FlashConnect Service and Socket Server.

Warning: If you install FlashConnect on a Windows system the FlashConnect Socket Server may not install correctly. If you receive an error message, you must run fcsocketserver -install from the C:\Program Files(x86)\RocketSoftware\FlashConnect directory to install the service.
  1. Installing FlashConnect
    Complete the instructions below to install FlashConnect on Windows.
  2. Configuring the FlashConnect service
    Complete these steps to configure the FlashConnect Service.
  3. Starting the FlashConnect service and FlashConnect socket server
    The FlashConnect Service (also referred to as FCService) is the Web server component of FlashConnect. The FlashConnect Service must be installed on the same physical computer as the Web or mvDesigner servers, but can be located on a different machine than the database.
