The w3logs.control file is also used by the w3Log subroutine. It allows the administrator to control the amount of items accumulated in the w3logs file. This file does not require periodic maintenance the value set in the maximum attribute limit the numbers of entries allowed in the file. If the maximum is reached, the oldest entry is overwritten. The default maximum is 100 entries.
