If you encounter problems when processing translation definitions, the error messages are logged to the FlashConnect.log file if using UNIX or the Event log if using Windows.
The following table describes the character translation error messages:

Could not open translation map file <filename>. |
Displays when the file containing the translation definition cannot be opened. |
Bad or missing translation code <invalid character> in file <translation file name>. |
Displays if the translation definition contains illegal syntax. |
Syntax error in translation specification string <line containing the error>. |
Displays when the translation file syntax is incorrect in the FlashConnect.conf file. |
