Select Open Domain from the File menu.
Click the Open Folder button 
from the Tool Bar.
The domain displays in the Domain Explorer.
Before accessing databases, the domain must be opened.
By default, the domain named MDS is opened. If the MDS server cannot be opened, a message displays indicating that the specified server name is invalid or not accessible.
To select an alternate domain, select MDS Server Name from the Servers menu and follow the instructions in Selecting the MDS Server Name.
When a domain is opened, two main nodes display in the Domain Explorer.
The Databases node includes all of the databases defined on the domain.
The Servers node includes all of the Servers and Clients associated to the domain.
To open the domain:
Do one of the following:
Select Open Domain from the File menu.
Click the Open Folder button from the Tool Bar.
The domain displays in the Domain Explorer.
