Stopping D3 VME

You have several options to stop the VME.

Do one of the following:

Procedure

Type the shutdown command at the TCL prompt.
Double-click Services from the Control Panel (Windows only), and stop the Virtual Machine Environment service.
Type net stop d3vme at the MS-DOS command line.

Note:

Shutting down Windows while D3 Windows is still running causes a loss of overflow.
When started in the foreground, closing the console or logging off the desktop shuts down D3 VME.
When attempting to close the console window, a dialog box displays. Select OK to continue the shutdown of D3 or CANCEL to abort.
When logging off the desktop, it is not possible to cancel the logoff and shutdown of D3. A warning message displays. Select OK to shutdown D3. At this point, the only option is to not select OK.
