Server setup hangs

The Server setup appears to hang during preinstallation checks.

Before installing a service, the setup procedure attempts to stop the services that are running. Stopping the VME may take several minutes. If this fails, set the D3 services to Disabled. Restart Windows to restart the setup program.

Procedure

Select Administrative Tools, then Services from the Control Panel.
Select D3 Virtual Machine Environment.
Select Action → Properties from the Services menu.
Select the General tab, then select Disabled from the Startup type drop-down list box. Click OK.
