The File Manager does not connect to the current computer
after installing D3 Windows 10.2 Client.
This can occur if the Client had been previously installed
on the computer. Data from that installation is saved into the registry,
making it necessary to modify the MDS Server name.
Procedure
- Click Add/Remove Programs from
the Control Panel.
The Add/Remove Programs dialog box
displays.
- Select D3 10.2 Client, then click Change.
The InstallShield Wizard Welcome screen
displays.
- Click Next.
The Program Maintenance dialog box
displays.
- Select the Modify option, then
click Next.
The Custom Setup dialog box displays.
- Click Next.
The Client Setup dialog box displays.
- Type the name of the current computer in the MDS Server text box, then click Next.
The Ready to Modify the Program dialog
box displays.
- Click Install to accept the changes,
then click Finish.
The MDS Server name is updated.
