Subfield Separator

Character to be used as the separator between subfields.

Description

Note: The subfield separator used in the field interface and the field layout does not need to be the same.

For the field interface, the default is GOLD ; (semicolon). For variable-length subfields, the separator is physically stored in the database. For fixed-length subfields, it is not.
