On the Administrator Home Page, click the LU/Device icon or link. The LU/Devices - All page will be displayed.
Type the name of the LU, Device or Answerback you want to add in the LU/Device Name field.
Choose the corresponding Session Type from the drop down list.
LU's are associated with Mainframe Display and Printer sessions
Devices are associated with iSeries Display and Printer sessions.
Answerbacks are associated with BlueZone VT Display sessions.
The Unique attribute is used to tell Web Manager whether this item is going to be used exclusively by one User, or if it will be shared by many Users. True means that the item will only be used by one User. False means that it can be shared.
Click the Add button to add the item to the database. The newly created item will now be shown in the LU/Devices list.
NOTE The LU, Device or Answerback must exist in the database before you can perform this function.
On the Administrator Home Page, click the Users icon or link. The Users page will be displayed.
Either create a new User (or edit an existing User) with at least one session that matches the Session Type of the LU, Device or Answerback that you created above.
Display the User's sessions. Find the session that matches the Session Type of the LU, Device or Answerback you created above, and click the Modify icon () or modify link.
Click the Add button next to the LU Device or Answerback label (The label will depend on if this is a Mainframe iSeries or VT session). The Bind Existing LU Device or Answerback screen will display, with a list of the available items.
Find the desired item in the list, and click the Add button. The item will now be bound to the selected session for that specific User.
NOTE If you go back and display the list of LUs, Devices and Answerbacks, you will see that the item that you just bound to a session, will display the name of the User under the Bindings column. This is a clickable link and will take you back to the Modify Session screen.
On the Administrator Home Page, click the LU/Device icon or link. The LU/Devices - All page will be displayed.
Using the second series of drop down list boxes and fields, enter a full name or partial name of the LU, Device or Answerback that you want to search for.
Use the first drop down list to select the desired qualifier - equals, contains, starts with, end with or regex.
The second drop down list lets you search for any type or a specific BlueZone session type.
The third drop down list lets you select the desire boolean qualifier - Any, False or True.
When all the vales are set, click the Filter button.
The results of your search will be displayed.
