Configuration Files

BlueZone FTP has the ability to import and export configuration files directly to and from the Windows Registry. A tremendous asset for Systems Administrators, these files can then be used on other machines to set BlueZone FTP’s configuration settings.

To export BlueZone FTP’s configuration settings to a file:

From BlueZone FTP’s Main Menu, select File, Save As.Enter a configuration file name. No file extension need be entered, the Default Extension of the File Property Sheet will be used.

To import the BlueZone FTP configuration settings from a file:

From BlueZone FTP’s Main Menu, select File, Open.Enter the name of the configuration file. BlueZone FTP will read and use the configuration settings of the previously stored configuration file.

NOTE  To store imported Windows Registry changes, go to the BlueZone FTP Menu Menu, select File, Save.

Using the Start Configuration File

System Administrators can pre-configure BlueZone FTP by saving the desired configuration settings to a file named Start and then including the file on the BlueZone FTP distribution diskette. When BlueZone FTP is first run it looks for the file Start.FTP and will “auto-open” the file if it exists.
