Playing back scripts

To play your script, follow these steps. Ensure that you are logged off the host before proceeding.

1. Click Script → Play from the Rocket TE menu bar or click the Script Play icon on the toolbar.
   A standard Windows file dialog opens.
2. Select the script that you just created and click Open.
   The script runs. If your script required a password during the recording process, a dialog box opens.

   This happens because the Rocket TE Script Recorder detects that a password field was encountered during the recording process and automatically substitutes a dialog box for the password. The Rocket TE Script Recorder did not record the password that you typed during the recording process.

   Important: This is a safety feature designed to prevent end users from recording scripts that contain passwords.
3. Type the password and press the Enter key. The script continues until it gets to the place where you stopped recording.
   Note: If the Script Status Window was displayed while the script was running, it's because the Display Script Status Window check box is checked.
   The purpose of this window is to aid during the development of Rocket TE scripts. If you do not want this window being displayed during script playback, you can disable it by following these steps:
   1. Click Script → Properties from the Rocket TE menu bar.
      The Script Properties dialog opens.
   2. Clear the Display Script Status Window check box.
   3. Click OK.
      From now on when you play a Rocket TE script, the Script Status Window no longer displays.
