Setting up an ODBC data source

Follow these steps to set up an ODBC Data Source.

1. Select ODBC Data Sources from the Administrative Tools window.

   The ODBC Data Source Administration dialog box displays.

   
2. Click Add.

   The Create New Data Source dialog box displays.

   
3. Select the driver Microsoft Access (*.mdb), and then click Finish.

   The ODBC Microsoft Access Setup dialog box displays.

   
4. Enter the following:

   • Name of the data source

   • Description of the data source

5. Click Select and locate the Northwind database file.
6. Click OK.

   The ODBC Microsoft Access setup is complete.
