Running OpenDB

The Service Log on properties must be configured before running the OpenDB program.

1. Select Start → Control Panel → Administrative Tools. Then double-click Services.

   The Services dialog box displays.

2. Click OPENDB.
3. Right click and select Properties.

   The Service dialog box displays.

4. Select the Log On tab > This Account to set up a logon account and password.
   Note: A valid Windows user, logon account, and password must be specified for the service.
5. Type the account and password.

   • If the computer is running on a domain, use an account name using this format: Domain.Name\User.Name. For example: support\bob where support is the domain and bob is the user.

   • In the case of a workgroup network, use an account name using this format:.\UserName. For example: .\bob

6. Click OK.
