Restarting the OpenDB server

Complete these instructions if you need to restart the OpenDB Server (for example, when table structures are changed while they are in use by OpenDB, when the RDBMS is restarted or when the server is shutdown for maintenance).

1. Log off all D3 ports that have OpenDB connections.
2. Stop the OpenDB server.
3. Verify that the RDBMS server is running and properly communicating.
4. Restart the OpenDB server.
5. Allow D3 users to reconnect to OpenDB.
