D3 OpenDB is a stand-alone Windows application that provides access to ODBC databases from the D3 environment. It consists of the OpenDB Server and the D3 OSFI/ODBC Driver.
Although the Server and Driver are provided in one application (OpenDB.exe), the name, OpenDB is used throughout this document to refer to this executable.
This user’s manual is a comprehensive description of the requirements, installation, and configuration and operation procedures for the most visible and basic aspects of OpenDB.
The procedures in this user’s manual follow the customary sequence for installing, configuring, and operating OpenDB.
