Follow these steps to create an OSFI host data source called
sqlsvr.host using the Update Processor.
Procedure
- Type u dm,hosts, sqlsvr.host at
the TCL prompt.
- Type 08 in attribute 1.
Note: Pressing CTRL+V enters a new value mark. To move to the
next line attribute, press ENTER.
- Type a machine name in attribute 2, and then press CTRL+V.
For example:
- Type the TCP/IP port number, and then press CTRL+V. For
example:
- Type a transmit-timeout, and then press ENTER. For example:
- Type the ODBC DSN in attribute 3, and then press CTRL+XF
to save to file. For example:
dsn=sqlsvrdsn;uid=sa;database=northwind;
The OSFI host data source sqlsvrdsn displays.
