UNIX ODBC server administration

This topic discusses configuring UNIX ODBC Servers.

  1. Starting the D3 ODBC server
    Complete these instructions to start the D3 ODBC server.

    Once the server is started, a process is created for each ODBC connection initiated. (Each connection requires a D3 user license.)

    The server allows several options for the advanced user. A beginning or intermediate user may choose to skip this section.

    A menu-driven utility is available for administering a UNIX ODBC server from the TCL prompt. This menu (see below) provides options for configuring, starting, stopping and monitoring the ODBC server.
