Managing group access

Group Access allows you to control user access to a Web Service based on the user's group membership.

When you assign Group Access, you specify which HTTP Methods (GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE) users in a group are allowed to perform on a specified Web Service (as specified by a Web Service URI). For more granular control, you can also specify Group Access for a particular file within a Web Service.

Group Access is managed using the Define Access Control dialog box, which is displayed when right-clicking a Web Service Provider from the MV Web Service Explorer and selecting the Manage Access Control option. Group Access controls can be added, edited, and removed.
