Creating and managing web service operations and resources

The final step is creating the operations or resources that will be associated to your Web Service.

Operations and resources are created by accessing the accounts exposed by your connection to the D3 or mvBase server, selecting the file or subroutine to expose through the Web Service, and then constructing the AQL statement or cataloged subroutine that will define your operation or resource.

This section provides instructions for creating, editing, and dropping both AQL statement and cataloged subroutine Web Service Operations and Resources. This section also includes instructions for defining a dynamic array on a cataloged subroutine and testing a Web Service that employs a dynamic array.

Tip: Web Service Operations, Resources, and Dynamic Arrays can be copied to another Web Service or Web Service Provider from the MV Web Service Explorer.

To copy an Operation, Resource, or Dynamic Array to another Web Service or Web Service Provider, drag the artifact from the current Web Service or Web Service Provider to the new Web Service or Web Service Provider.
