LIST-SECURITY-LOG Proc

The LIST-SECURITY-LOG Proc lists all security violations logged in the SECURITY-LOG file.

Format

LIST-SECURITY-LOG [LPTR | (P)]

Sends the report to the printer.

P

Sends the report to the printer.

Description

All invalid attempts to log on, all system privilege violations, and all file access violations are logged in the SECURITY-LOG file.

The Security Log gives this information:

SYS1 privilege violation.

SYSPROG privilege violation.

Illegal modification of file, list, or object pointers.

File open/access violation.

Item retrieval violation.

Item update violation.

Invalid logon account violation.

Invalid logon password violation.

count

Number of violations of each type. On the screen, count is separated from type by an asterisk (*).

process

Number of the process on which the error was detected.

account

Name of the account where the error occurred.

time and date

Time and date when the error occurred.

TCL command

Command that caused the error.

MISC1

File names, base frame IDs, attempted logon names, etc.

MISC2

The Security Log Report

LIST-SECURITY-LOG produces a report that appears different depending on whether it’s sent to the screen or to the printer. This example shows a report displayed on the screen:
