The CHARGES command displays current usage statistics for the account you are logged on to. Displaying this information does not end the current session, however, nor is the information written to the ACC file.

Description
After the CHARGES command is entered, the system displays the following statistics:

Connect Time |
Number of minutes the session has lasted. |
|
CPU |
Amount of CPU time in tenths of a CPU second. |
|
LPTR pages |
Number of line printer pages generated during the session. |
A programmer might want to use the CHARGES command to test how long a certain program takes to run, thereby getting a sense of its performance and its cost in repeated runs. Similarly, a DP center might bill other departments for system use, or charge these departments for reports issued on a per page basis.

Displaying Usage Statistics for the Current Logon Session
The following example displays usage statistics for the current logon session:

The user has been logged on for an hour and four minutes, has used 19 units of CPU time (19 tenths of a CPU second), and has sent 10 printer pages to the Spooler.
