The T-STATUS command lists all logical tape units, the tape devices to which they are assigned, the processes (if any) to which they are attached, and the tape format specifications.

The T-STATUS Report
The T-STATUS command produces a report that contains the following information:

Logical tape unit. |

DRIVE |
Type and number of the tape drive to which the tape unit is assigned. Type can be: |

Floppy disk drive. |
|
Q |
For 1/4-inch tape drive. |
|
ATT |
Number of the process to which the tape unit is attached. If no tape unit is attached, this field is empty. |
|
FORMAT |
Tape format as set by the T-FORMAT command. |

Any tape units that have not been assigned with the SET-TAPE command (see Using the SYSPROG Account and Commands) are not listed in the T-STATUS report.
