The SET-DATE command sets or changes the current system date. Enter the date in either of these two formats:
Format
SET-DATE day month [year] SET-DATE month /day [/year] |
Parameter(s)
day |
Numeric day of the month. |
month |
Can be either a three-letter abbreviation or a two-digit number; for example, enter October as either OCT or 10. |
year |
Two-digit abbreviation for the year. If you do not enter the year, the currently displayed year is used. |
Description
If you use the first format, separate the day, month, and year with spaces. If you use the second format, separate the month, day, and year with slashes (/).
NOTE |
If you enter SET-DATE without a date, the system date is set back to 0 (i.e., 31 DEC 1967). |
To display the currently set time and date, use the TIME command.
The system date is set when the system is initially started up. Whenever the COLD-START Proc is run, you are prompted to reset the time and the date if necessary.
